Heat, humidity, salt spray and limited ventilation can leave yacht cabins with embedded dirt, stains, odors and conditions that favor mildew. Upholstery, carpet, wood and finished surfaces each react differently, so the first step is to inspect the materials and the source of the problem.
Marine interior detailing is not the same as automotive cleaning. Marine vinyl, leather, teak, acrylic, fabric and carpet need material-specific products, controlled moisture and careful drying methods suited to Cartagena's warm coastal environment.
Marine upholstery care
A tailored method for each material. We inspect colorfastness, cracking, stains and moisture before choosing the cleaning and conditioning process.
Marine vinyl is durable, but salt, body oils, sunscreen and trapped moisture can leave it dull, stained or dry. We adjust the method to its finish and current condition.
Natural leather and coated marine upholstery require different cleaning products. We identify the surface before conditioning or attempting a localized color touch-up.
Marine fabrics and carpets collect salt, dust and moisture. The backing and drying conditions are checked before extraction so the treatment does not leave moisture trapped below the surface.
Complete interior care
Detailed cleaning of headliners, bulkheads, floors and storage areas, including galley degreasing and care for bronze or stainless-steel fixtures. The written scope reflects the cabin layout and accessible areas.
Cleaning and conditioning for interior teak, mahogany and other finished woods with products selected for the existing coating. Oiling, varnish repair or refinishing is quoted separately when the surface requires more than cleaning.
Deep-cleaning, enzymatic or ozone treatments may be used for sewage, fuel, mildew or humidity odors after the source is assessed. Persistent leaks or ventilation problems may require corrective work beyond cleaning.
Non-abrasive cleaning for glass, acrylic and polycarbonate, including salt and water deposits. Water-repellent protection or light acrylic correction is proposed only when compatible with the surface.
Targeted cleaning and disinfection for high-touch areas such as the galley, heads, handles and switches. Products are selected according to the surface and the agreed service scope.
Cleaning and polishing for chrome, bronze, stainless steel and interior aluminum. We address water and salt marks and apply a compatible protective finish when included in the quotation.
